1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text value that a website may ask your browser to store and return on subsequent requests. Related browser technologies include local storage, session storage, service workers, embedded tracking pixels and device identifiers. Different technologies can serve strictly necessary, preference, analytics or advertising purposes.

This notice describes the current Lumario Vessa Line static frontend, not every technology that could potentially be added by a future hosting or marketing platform.

2. Current position: no tracking cookies

As supplied, the site code does not set its own tracking, advertising, visitor-profiling or analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, remote ad network, embedded social feed or external font request is required to display the site.

The on-screen mobile menu and image lightbox work within the page while it is open; they do not need browser cookies to remember what you clicked. The site does not currently provide a persistent consent-preference storage system because it does not deploy optional tracking categories.

3. Functionality that does not need cookies

Navigation, menu categories, on-page image previews, access to local styles and pictures, the enquiry form fields, and viewing the legal pages are handled by the browser. The enquiry form composes a draft in your own email application. The website itself does not create a login session or store a submitted form in a website database.

The legal contact information is loaded from a local data file served alongside the pages. This ordinary frontend request does not require an identification cookie.

4. Hosting logs and essential technologies

Even where a static frontend does not itself set cookies, a web server can receive normal network information, including IP address, URL requested, time and browser-related headers, for delivery and security. Depending on your hosting provider’s settings, temporary operational identifiers or security controls may exist at the hosting layer. This frontend does not configure or depend on a specific third-party host cookie.

Your browser may also cache local CSS, JavaScript and images to speed up page loading. A cached file is not itself a tracking cookie.

5. No embedded analytics or marketing tags

We do not currently ask your browser to load remote advertising scripts, personalised recommendation platforms or audience-measurement libraries. The website contains no newsletter subscription tracking and no behavioural advertising consent toggle is needed for the functionality shipped with the site.

If an optional technology is introduced later, we will first assess whether consent or another lawful basis is required and update the policy and any controls accordingly.

6. External link to directions

The Contact & FAQ page may provide a directions link to an external maps website. That service is not loaded automatically into our pages. Cookies set after you deliberately follow that link are governed by the external service’s own notices and browser settings, not by this site’s static frontend.

7. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you inspect, remove or block cookies and limit cross-site tracking in their privacy settings. You can also clear cached files or use private browsing. Blocking all cookies can disrupt other websites, although the present Lumario Vessa Line pages do not require advertising or analytics cookies for core navigation.

Your browser’s help or privacy settings explain the exact controls for your device. Settings and terminology vary between browsers.

8. Consent and legal framework

Where non-essential cookies or similar trackers are used in a jurisdiction that requires opt-in consent, they should not run until the relevant consent is obtained. Because no optional cookies are intentionally deployed in the current frontend, there is no consent banner that pretends to manage trackers which do not exist.

Personal information potentially present in web-server logs is addressed in our Privacy Policy and by applicable New Zealand privacy law. European rules may also be relevant to particular processing activities where their territorial tests are met.

9. Retention and future amendments

This frontend does not specify expiry dates for tracking cookies because it sets none. A browser may retain cache files according to its settings and server cache headers; server logs, if created, are retained according to the service operator’s security and operational configuration.

We will revise this policy if the website begins using optional analytics, embedded media, a booking integration or any technology that materially changes how identifiers are stored or transmitted. The updated effective date will appear at the top.
